WBA heavyweight champion David Haye faces Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday 2nd July, and has been having his food imported from London to Hamburg to eliminate any risk of being affected by the recent E.coli outbreak in Germany.

Ruben Tabares is responsible for Haye’s diet in the build up to his fights, with healthy ingredients sometimes costing more than £2,000 per week, although this cost will be inevitably higher given the fact they are being delivered in a refrigeration unit to Germany.

Tabares will oversee that Haye eats at the correct times, and it has not come as a surprise that after the months of training and preparation for the fight, that Haye’s food is being delivered from England.

Opinion is divided over whether Haye will defeat Klitschko, the bout being staged in front on 60,000 fans at the football ground used by Schalke 04, in Hamburg, Germany. Bookmakers have made Haye a slight underdog, however opinion is generally divided over whether David Hayes power, explosive boxing style and fast hands will see him take Klitschko’s WBO and IBF world titles back to Britain.
